The 350W motor has no brushes and no commutator to wear out, so the power output stays the same on day one and day five hundred. It runs cooler too, because there is no brush friction generating heat inside the housing. The six-speed dial gives operators a useful range from 4,000 to 10,000 RPM, and constant speed electronics keep the RPM from sagging when they press into the material. Soft-start keeps the pad from jerking at power-on.

Brushless Orbital Sanders

For general flat sanding, the R7308 uses a 150mm round pad that covers surface area quickly. When the job needs a swirl-free finish on paint or clear coat, the MOS350C-5.0 and MOS350C-2.5 use random orbit action with 125mm and 150mm pads. And for corners and edges that round pads cannot reach, the MOS350D triangle pad does the detail work. All four models run on the same 350W brushless platform with six-speed control and a 28mm dust port that fits standard shop vacuums.
